FLOG WEEK 1: SCRAMBLED EGGS IN A MUG!

12:14 PM

I'm currently participating in a weekly video challenge! Today and every Thursday during the month of July I'll be posting a video related to this challenge (hopefully!). To learn more about the challenge, check out THIS POST!

Today's challenge was to make a recipe video. I had great intentions of making the video before we had a really busy weekend/Stephen took a few days off of work so we could spend some time at my family's cabin in Montana, but (surprise, surprise) I ran out of time so I had to quickly put together this video this morning!

When I was a freshman at BYU one of my roommates tried to make a brownie in a mug and it was SO GROSS. So gross, in fact, that I was all-but-entirely turned off from the idea of making anything (other than hot chocolate) in a mug ever again! After seven years of healing from that truly scarring experience, I decided to try scrambled eggs in a mug. I saw the idea on Pinterest and I was quite skeptical, but IT WAS A SUCCESS! I actually couldn't believe how well the eggs turned out!

Usually when I make scrambled eggs they are really dry and don't have much flavor, but these are REALLY REALLY GOOD! (Lydia loves them too!) The other best thing about this recipe is you just rinse out the mug and put it in the dishwasher - you don't even have to clean a pan!!! Could a recipe get any better?!? No.

I feel like a lot of people are going to wonder why I used water instead of milk in these eggs. My aunt says that water makes scrambled eggs fluffier, but I've also heard that what makes eggs fluffy is lifting the fork a lot when you mix them so get air mixed in? I do both just to be safe, hahaha.

Also I feel like it's worth noting that the song I chose for the video is titled, "If I had a Chicken." haha.

Let me know if you try it and how you like them!

Here are other people who are participating in the challenge:
Riley's Green Cream Cheese Chile Verde Enchiladas
Emmy's DIY Sephora Glam Glow Mud Mask
Leah's Avocado BLT
Clair's No Bake Strawberry Cheesecake
han.

PS Can we please talk about how ALLLL of iMovie's text transitions are very cheesy looking?! Ideas/suggestions on how to "un-cheesify" them are appreciated! :( I miss premiere...
