FLOG WEEK 4: STOP MOTION
10:20 PMIt's the final week of FLOG and I'm sad that it's over! I have really enjoyed having an objective to make videos this month. I'm still planning on doing my video from week 3, it's just been pretty crazy around here, so I haven't been able to do it yet.
This week's challenge was to make a stop-motion video. I made a few stop-motion videos with my students when I taught 6th grade (see this post) and really enjoyed them. The key to good stop motion is not letting the camera move AT ALL (which you'll notice I failed at in this attempt, haha). We are currently staying at Grandpa Olson's house (because Mom and Dad Olson are in town!) which meant the only tripod I had access to was my camera on an upside-down ice cream bucket.
We've been building all sorts of towers lately and trying to get Lydia to knock them down. The funny thing is, I don't think she particularly enjoys knocking them down, but does it out of obligation because she can tell we really want her to, hahaha. At least she's a good sport about it!
As I watch this video back all I can think about are the 10+ things I could have done to make this video better/longer/more entertaining but I'm just going to temporarily adopt The Alison Show's philosophy and say: DONE IS FUN - even if done isn't perfect.
