Curls on Curls on Curling.

Most people celebrate the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics by sitting on the couch and watching TV. Other people celebrate by participating in an olympic sport in the very arena the sport was played during the 2002 Winter Olympics. (I'll let you decide whose celebration is more fun.)

Last Friday Stephen and I went with our friends Bailee and Brady to a curling class at the Utah Olympic Oval! Although I knew really nothing about Curling before we got there, we quickly learned how the game was played from our instructor Dale, who was, as Stephen described, "everything I imaged a curling coach to be." (Aka: pretty old, and pretty grumpy. Not to mention the fact that he was EXTREMELY serious about his sport and all too eager to yell at us when we made a mistake.) Though he was a bit rough around the edges, Dale was a superb coach and in no time we were Curling like pros (or, should I say Olympians?).

The rest of the evening included Heads Up, Quiz Up, Key Lime Pie shakes and lots of laughter.

Look for us in the Winter Olympics 2018!
